ENTER MYFOREIGNPOLICY.COM DEBATING CHAMBERS

Welcome to the myforeignpolicy.com debating chambers. We have seven chambers for you to choose from.

If you have something to say on a particular topic then search the chamber that is most likely to contain an existent thread - and get typing! For example if you wished to comment on the potential implications for French foreign policy were Nicolas Sarkozy to become the next President of the Republic, the 'Europe' debating chamber would be the best place to start looking.

If you wish to comment on an issue that does not appear to already be under discussion, then please feel free to start a new thread. The more debates, the better!

Obviously, given the nature of International Relations, there will be topics which cannot be compartmentalized. For example, if you wished to comment that British troops fighting in Iraq should return 'home', the thread could reasonably be placed in three different chambers - United Kingdom, since it discusses British troops; The Middle East & Central Asia, since it focuses on Iraq; and, if you deemed the Iraq War to be part of a global war on terror, Global Issues. You may feel that to generate an optimum debate, the thread should be placed in 1, 2 or all 3 chambers. This is fine. All we ask is that you try to ensure that the same thread does not appear within the same chamber - this is how chatrooms become paralyzed!

Good luck with your debates!
